Problem

The customerโ€™s existing eCommerce site was built on Divi and had become heavy and slow, affecting performance and user experience. Additionally, the siteโ€™s layout required a modern revamp to improve usability and visual appeal. Following a web designerโ€™s recommendation, the decision was made to switch from Divi to Elementor Pro to enable more flexible and efficient template design and implementation.

Approach

All site templates were implemented in WordPress/WooCommerce using Elementor Pro, based on the designs provided by the customer. The videos, which were previously self-hosted, were migrated to Vimeo. A higher-tier Vimeo package was proposed and adopted to enable adaptive streaming, allowing different video resolutions to be served based on the visitorโ€™s device type for optimal performance and user experience.

Results

The migration to Elementor Pro significantly improved site performance and responsiveness. The new templates enhanced the visual appeal and usability of the eCommerce site. Videos hosted on Vimeo now load faster and play smoothly across all devices, with adaptive resolutions ensuring an optimal viewing experience. Overall, the site became more efficient, user-friendly, and scalable for future updates.
